He was born in Sheridan, Wyoming, to the Rev. Robert Rice, and Grace Rice. He attended College at Southern Wesleyan, in South Carolina, and served as Sales Manager for Farm Journal for many years. He served with Tennessee and Georgia National Guard, as Warrant Officer, retiring In Rome several years ago.
He is preceded in death by his Mother, and his Father. He is survived by his sister, Lois of Round Rock, Texas, an older brother, Allen, of Bristol, Tenn. And a younger brother, Walter of Sevierville, Tennessee, many nieces and nephews, along with a host of friends and admirers. Services are pending at Daniels Funeral Home in Rome.
