Dereck is survived by; mother Barbara Jean Walden; brother Crawford Lester Walden.
Dereck was preceded in death by; father Crawford Lester Walden.
A memorial service in his honor was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Transfiguration Episcopal Church, 304 Coker Drive SW, Rome, Georgia. The Rev. Linda Pineo officiated at the service. The family received friends after the service.
