Dewey Lawler Sr.

Dewey was born on February 3, 1939, in Buckeye, Arizona, the son of the late Dorsey LaFayette Lawler and the late Donna Estes Lawler. He worked as an electrician for many years at Inland Container. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jo Sandy; and his brothers, Edgar Ross Lawler, David Dorsey Lawler, J.C. Lawler, and Larry Leonard Lawler.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Clay Lawler; his children, Dewey Lee Lawler, Jr. (Anna), Lydia Garrett (Wayne), Mark Lawler (Melody), Susan Maddox, Eric Lawler (Beverly), Michele Westmoreland (James), Jason Lawler, and Michael Lawler (Maria); his numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great greatgrandchildren; and his sisters, Barbara Alice Dickey and Alva Marie Siebert; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home. The Honor Guard from American Legion Post 5 will be presenting military honors.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Daniel’s Funeral Home from 12:00 pm until the service hour.
