

Mrs. Eleanor Camp Stinson, born June 18 1935, in Floyd County, daughter of the late Hugo Shipley and Katherine Dalton Shipley. She was a lifelong resident of the Cave Spring and Coosa Community. Mrs. Stinson was a devoted wife for over 60 years and a loving mother, and grandmother. She was a lifelong member of the Livingston United Methodist Church where she was the pianist for over 65 years. Mrs. Stinson was a Redmond Regional Hospital volunteer for over 20 years, volunteer officer for the P.T.A in the Coosa Schools and she also enjoyed camping and square dancing.
Mrs. Stinson is survived by her husband of over 60 years Mr. Calvin Stinson of Rome; three sons and daughters-in-laws, Mike and Jan Stinson of Cedartown, GA., Tom and Cindy Stinson of Rome, GA., and Joe Stinson of Smyrna. One daughter, and son-in-law Mollie and Shay Langley of Ocala FL. 21 grand and great grandchildren survive.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 13 2014, at 3 p.m. at the Daniel’s funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Stinson, Rev. Paul Ploude' and Rev. Mitzi Oates officiating. Interment was held at Livingston United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers and include, Dustin, Drew, Michael and Dalton Stinson, Brett McCray and Michael Conway. Shay Langley served as honorary pallbearer.
The family received friends at Daniel’s funeral home on August 13, 2014 from 2p.m. until the funeral hour.
