Mrs. Evelyn Lester was born in Griffin, Georgia, August 18, 1927 to George and Lois Moore, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 73 1/2 years, Melvin Lester; one sister, Daisy Vaughn; and one brother, Jack Moore. She was a very active member of Second Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia until they had to relocate to Rome, Georgia in 2013.
Survivors include her son, Richard Lester (Annette); grandson, Kevin Lester(Kathy); granddaughter, Natalie Craig(Steven); great grandson, Jackson Craig; and great granddaughter, Reese Craig.
Mrs. Evelyn Lester will be laid to rest next to her husband, Melvin Lester, at Westwood Gardens in Griffin, Georgia.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2:30 PM in the chapel at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home in Griffin, Georgia.
