Mrs. Hancock was born in Floyd County on June 26, 1923, daughter of the late Ethyl Land Harris. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for many years at Trinity United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hancock was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hancock. Survivors include her son Samuel Hancock and his wife Star Hancock of Rome.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hancock will be held Friday at 3 PM in Trinity United Methodist Church with Dr. Wayne Hopper and Rev. Rick Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 PM until the service hour at Trinity United Methodist Church on Friday.
