A gifted homemaker, Gere expressed care in the everyday ways through cooking and baking that gathered others in, and through the quiet diligence of sewing, crafting, and gardening. Music also threaded through her life: she sang, and she played the piano, offering her time and talent with a gracious spirit. Gere also built a meaningful career in the insurance industry, work she valued and approached with reliability and pride. Recognized as secretary of the year, she carried herself with professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility. Yet even with that dedication, her family remained her first priority, and she was known as the family historian, preserving memories and honoring the stories that shaped those she loved.
