Gertrude T Garrett

Mrs. Gertrude T. Garrett, age 95 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023. She was born on November 6, 1927 in Silver Creek, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Arthur Thacker and Emmer Woodall Thacker.

Mrs. Garrett is preceded in death by her loving husband of 31, Paul Garrett; and her parents. She was also preceded in death by her five brothers Buddie, Louie, Floyd, Lee and Oscar Thacker all of Rome, Ga and by two sisters Ollie Mae Huchebe of Armurchee, Ga and Ruby Wright of Ringold, Ga.

Mrs. Garrett is survived by her granddaughter, Leslie Roberts of Cedartown, as well as 6 other grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, 2 sons and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Gertrude T. Garrett will be held on Thursday September 14, 2023 at 1 o’clock in the afternoon in the chapel of Daniels Funeral Home, With Rev. Kirk Burrell officiating . Visitation will be held on Thursday September 14, 2023 from 11 o’clock in the morning until the service hour at Daniels Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Cemetery.
