Helen M Faulkner

Mrs. Faulkner was born August 2, 1929 in Coweta County, Newnan, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee McWaters and Sara Lee McWaters. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rome. Mrs. Faulkner spent a long career in the banking industry and was retired from over 25 years from Rome Radiology Group where she last served as assistant office manager.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Faulkner was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Dr. William Arthur Faulkner, Sr.; her brothers, Robert Wayne McWaters, Thomas Ware McWaters and Billy Joe McWaters; her sisters, Runelle McWaters McKoy and Frances McWaters Webb; her son, John Alvin Faulkner; and her daughter, Sara Frances “Sallye” Faulkner Ryan.

Survivors include her two sons, William Arthur Faulkner, Jr. and his wife Terrie Conway Faulkner and David Wayne Faulkner and his wife Julia Owings Faulkner; her son-in-law, James Phillip Ryan; her grandchildren, Deborah Lynn Ryan, Christopher Riley Faulkner, Sara Helen Faulkner, and Samuel James Faulkner; her step grandchildren, Trinity Renea Park and Owin Robert Park; and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Helen Faulkner will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Pastor David Brooks and Keith Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the service time. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
