Janice Trezevant Worthington

Mrs. Janice Trezevant Worthington, born November 5, 1936. Passed away peacefully at home on March 23, 2023 at the age of 86. Mrs. Worthington was a lifelong resident of Kingston, Georgia, and of the Baptist Faith. As a member of the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Mrs. Worthington participated in many fundraising and community events; utilizing her many crafting talents.

Mrs. Worthington was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother; helping raise several generations. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Homer Ellis Worthington Sr. and daughter Kathy Diane Worthington Hightower.

She is survived by her 4 sons, Dennis Worthington and wife April, David Worthington, Homer Ellis Worthington Jr. and Joseph Worthington; 3 daughters, Gwendolyn Worthington, Wanda Worthington Bonner and Yvonne Worthington Mulinx and husband Asa Mulinix. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and numerous other extended family members.

The family of Mrs. Worthington will receive family and friends on Monday, March 27, 2023 from 6 o'clock in the evening until 8 o'clock in the evening at Daniel's Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon; at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, located at 1370 Kingston Highway, Kingston, Georgia 30145, with Rev. Jerry Branton officiating. Mrs. Worthington will lie in state from 1 o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow services in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Drew Worthington, Thomas Whitner, Dustin Worthington, Christopher Shook, Clayton Shook and John Abernathy. Honorary pallbearers will be John Taylor, Jeffery Edwards, Dylan Worthington, Ricky Norton and Jonathan Sprayberry.
