
Mrs. Drummond was born on March 13, 1914, in Cave Spring, the daughter of the late John P. and Minnie Jones Terry. She was one of eight children and is survived by her youngest sister, Marjorie Goodwin Reginstein, Cedartown and Warner Robins; and 14 nieces and nephews as well as great nieces/nephews.
Mrs. Drummond was preceded in death by her first husband, Orion Youngblood. For many years they owned the State Farm Insurance Agency in Rome. She later married Frank Drummond who passed away in 1982. They traveled extensively during their years together.
Mrs. Drummond has had the honor of being the oldest living member of Second Avenue Baptist Church. Since her homebound status, the Outreach Ministry has been so caring and special to deliver weekly sermons and provided DVDs for her use. For many years, she was involved in china painting and many relatives were gifted with exquisite pieces, plates, vases, etc. She was a gifted pianist and loved music. She was an active member of the Chapter J, P.E.O., and held leadership roles through the years.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Monty Stallins officiating. Interment was in the Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends at Daniel’s Funeral home on Tuesday, March 1, 2011, from 1 until 2 p.m.
