Judy was born on October 3, 1958, in Birmingham, AL. She was the daughter of the late Robert Gordon Lee, Sr. and late Nellie Faye Johnson Lee. Ms. Lee was a graduate of West Rome High School and worked in retail until retirement. Judy loved and valued God, family and friends above all else. Because of her loving, generous and giving spirit, she was revered as and always will be “the heart of the family”. She is remembered as loyal, jolly and she loved to laugh. Judy and her mother were very close and she loved and missed her deeply every day. Her love and affection was so great that it wrapped around all those who knew and loved her and she in return expressed it back in so many ways. Judy was an amazing cook; her Sunday dinners and spaghetti were especially favored. She had a way of saying what was on her mind, but it was always sincere and heartfelt and could ease you mind and soul. Judy was passionate about many things, but her strong respect and patriotic spirit for the armed forces, photography and celebrating Christmas were at the top of her list. In addition to the affection for her family, Judy loved children, all children, but especially the ones in her family. They were held in the center of her heart and at times she would claim them as her own. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie Johnson Lee in July 2013, her father, Robert Gordon Lee, Sr. in September 2014 and her sister, Karen Cowell in August 2014.
Judy is survived by a brother, Bob Lee (Sharon Haney) of Rome; two sisters, Patty Lee Henry (Steve Henry) of Milledgeville, GA, Renee Lee (Steve McGuire) of Rome; her Aunt & Uncle, Robert and Jeanette Trapp of Montgomery, AL; nieces and nephews, Stan Jones of Niceville, FL, Dustin Lee of Rome, Ty Morgan, Robin Morgan, Dan Morgan all of Rome, Melissa Robinson of Cartersville, Tiffany Henry of Kissimmee, FL, Christopher Tumblin of Rome, Chase McGuire and Josh Brown; great-nieces and nephews, Kenzie Jones, Kaleb Jones, Allen Jones, Brian Jones, Chance Jones, Caroline Jones and Henry Morgan.
