She was born in Memphis, TN, in 1925 to George Albert and Kathryn Ryan Roussel. She was a chemistry teacher at Warren Central High School, in Vicksburg MS where she lived for 52 years. She moved to Rome in 2002 and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Rome.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James A. Dupuy; children/daughters, Kathryn (Gil) Russell, Bartlett, TX, Mary Millard, Minneapolis, MN, Jamie (Steve) Safigan, Rome, GA; six grandchildren: Anna, Molly, Andrew, Caleb, Ingrid and Davin; three great-grandchildren: Eva, Lily and Cara; one sister, Polly Raymond of Laurel, MD; and a sister-in-law, Yvonne Dupuy, Natchitoches, LA.
The family received friends at 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at Daniel’s Funeral Home, 901 E 2nd Ave, Rome, GA.
