
Kathryn Elizabeth Butler Reeves, age 52, of 33 Reynolds Bend Road Rome, passed away at a local hospital Saturday February 12, 2011. Mrs. Reeves was born on December 27, 1958 in Rome, daughter of the late Charles D. Butler and Shirley Jean Jacks Butler
Mrs. Reeves Attended Model High School. Then she attended Berry College where she graduated in 1982. She started teaching kindergarten in Tate, GA., the first grade at a school in Macon, GA., then finishing her teaching career where she taught for many years the first and third grades at Garden Lakes Elementary. She was a member at First Baptist Church in Macon, GA. She loved her friends, was a friend to all, never met a stranger, loved helping people and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her husband Dr. Leonard Daniel Reeves, Sr. of Rome, two sons William “Will” Darnell Reeves of Rome, and Leonard “Lee” Daniel Reeves, Jr. of Kennesaw, and a brother Charles “Chuck” Butler of Pennsylvania.
Services for Mrs. Reeves were conducted Tuesday February 15, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Chaplain Gary Batchelor and Dr. Lebron McBride officiating. Interment will follow at East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Daniel’s. Those serving as pallbearers were Richard Marcus, Giles Hartcorn, Gary Hartcorn, Micah Mullinax, Phil Wilson, and Dwain Rutledge. Daniel’s Funeral Home has charge of the funeral arrangements.
