Mrs. Hom was born in Pittsburg, PA, on April 30, 1953, the daughter of the late John Herbert McKinley and Catherine Dillon McKinley. She attended the University of Southern California and the University of Texas at San Antonio. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Dr. Steven George Hom, to whom she was married January 25, 1975; four daughters, Cheryl McCosh and her husband, Bem, Houston, TX, Christine Hom, Atlanta, Stephanie Hom, Los Angeles, CA, and Meredith Hom, San Francisco, CA; two grandchildren, Maeve McCosh and Emmet McCosh, and one soon to be; two brothers, Jack, and his wife, Viv, McKinley, Huntington Beach, CA, and Dan, and his wife, Patti, McKinley, Cape Cod, Mass.; and three sisters, Cege McGrath, Walnut Creek, CA, Marge Antignas, Ventura, CA, and Susie Sexton, Ventura.
A memorial mass was held Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 12 noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Kingery and Deacon Stuart Neslin officiating.
The family received friends at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 8, from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon, and then at a reception in the Parish Hall following the mass.
