Louise was born in Rome, Georgia on September 3, 1941, the daughter of the late Littel H Wood and Frances Harper Wood Eubanks. She grew up in Rome and graduated from Armuchee High School, Class of 1959. Louise spent her time serving her family; she truly had a servant's heart. She was a homemaker and took great pride in her role. She loved her family and was devoted to helping her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Lowrey was a member of Floyd Springs Baptist Church.
Louise was preceded in death by her son, Garrett Miller. Survivors include her husband, Sam Lowrey; her children, Kay Duke and her husband, Steve Duke of Houston, Texas; John Lowrey and his wife Ivy Lowrey of Rome, and Samantha Rush and her husband, Don Rush of Rome; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Lillian Clark of Hawkinsville, Georgia.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 816 Horton Bend Road Rome, Ga. with Rev. Mark Detweiler officiating. A reception will follow at the home of John Lowrey 536 Vernon Road Rome, Ga 30165.
