Mrs. Monahan was born on February 12, 1918, in Fonde, KY, the daughter of the late Henry Wagner and Cora Bessie Hill Wagner.
Mrs. Monahan was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one son, Richard Monahan, Plainville; a sister-in-law, Frances Wagner, Rome; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were at 4 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2011, at the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Dr. David Campbell officiating. Interment will be in the East View Cemetery.
The family received friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Thursday following the funeral service.
