My Aunt Martha was the fun Aunt. She always laughed out loud, and when I was little, she loved for us to put on shows for her when we were at Grandmama Blaylock's house. She was so encouraging, even as she aged, she audited classes at Berry. One thing I did right was to introduce my Grandbaby Lula to her great great Aunt Martha. I always wanted to make Aunt Martha proud. I love you Aunt Martha and Cousin Cyndi and Cousin Rita. Praying continually for you and your families and all who have that hole in their life where Aunt Martha was.

Rita:
I was sorry to see your mom's obituary in this morning's newspaper.
I'm also sorry that I won't be able to attend her service, as we left early this morning for a vacation in Florida. I sure would like to hear from you. I still have great memories.

Martha was such a sweet, loving adult presence in my youngest years while we still lived in Rome. I remember her companionship with my Grandmama Winfrey and Grandmama Aunt Kathryn, and they both truly loved her. She always smiled big smiles and gave great hugs to my sister and me. I'm grateful for her life, as I'm sure so many are.
