Mary Eunice Climer Wright

Mrs. Mary Eunice Climer Wright, age 88, of Rome, GA, passed away at her residence Sunday March 24, 2013.

Mrs. Wright was born in Plainville, GA., May 5, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Conrad Bennett Climer and Vera Miller Climer. She was married for 45 years to the late Frank Owen Wright, Sr., who preceded her in death April 15, 1989, also one brother and two sisters; Conrad Auborn Climer, Gladys C. Burton and Doris C. Spence.

Mrs. Wright was a member of First Baptist Church Rome where she was a member of the Joy Class, the Senior Adult Choir, the hand bell choir, Extended Family Ministry, the Bereavement Committee, the Flowers Committee and Meals and More. She also worked with Meals on Wheels for a number of years. She was a member of the Rome Music Lover’s Club and the Rome Symphony Guild.

Mrs. Wright is survived by one son; Frank Owen Wright, Jr. and his wife Mona M. Wright of Canton, GA., one sister; Glenda C. Jones and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service for Mrs. Wright was conducted Thursday morning March 28, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of First Baptist Church, Rome with Dr. Joel Snider and Dr. Floyd Roebuck officiating. The family received friends following the service in the chapel. A private interment was held at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to be made to: FBC Foundation, Meals and More, The Community Kitchen or the Davies Homeless Shelter 100 East 4th Avenue Rome, GA. 30161-3120.

Oh I have some GREAT memories of Mrs. Eunice & Mr. Owen as a kid when they would come visit my grandparents & great-grandma, Grace in Lithonia,GA from Valdosta! They were ALWAYS VERY NICE & pleasant people to see on the holidays!!! I miss those days!!! Some of the BEST days of my life!!! R.I.P. & enter into the Lord Jesus's rest, Mrs. Eunice! I'll ALWAYS remember the GREAT times!!! Godspeed!!!
