Mrs. Shahan was born March 23, 1913, in Floyd County, GA to the late Luther Selman and Lillian Keasler Selman. She was married to the late P.D. Shahan.
She was a member of Fifth Ave. Baptist Church where she taught a Sunday School Class for many years. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Shahan was preceded in death by six sisters, Winnie Morgan, Blanche Selman, Pearl Winkle, Margaret Doss, Ruby Watts, and Ellen Padgett. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Dean Shahan.
Survivors include her son, Paul H. Shahan,his wife Jody Davidson Shahan and a brother J.F. Selman. Also, she is survived by her grandsons, Paul Michael Shahan and James Davidson Shahan.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home with Dr. Floyd Roebuck officiating. Interment will be in the Myrtle Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.
