Maureen Fuller Barbogello

Mrs. Barbogello was born in Sprowston, Norwich, England, on August 20, 1932, the daughter of the late Leonard Fuller and Eva Witham Fuller. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Barbogello in 1991, and by a sister, Wendy Casey. She passed on what would have been her 63rd wedding anniversary.

Mrs. Barbogello attended school and college in England where she played soccer and studied dance. A longtime Rome resident, she was a member and lector of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She was an avid reader and was a member of the English Tea Time Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Barbara (Tony) Triplitt, Rome, and Joanne (Steve) Acker, Rome; one brother, Nigel Mann, Norwich, England; four grandchildren, Stephanie (Baker) Jordan, Andy (Lesley) Triplitt, Ashley Folkerts and Mandy (Scott) Latimer; and six great grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 12 noon at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Patrick Kingery and Deacon Stuart Neslin officiating. Visitation was held at the church at 11 a.m. A reception followed the service in St. Mary’s Parish Hall.
