Michael Francis Loveless

Michael (Mike) Loveless, 82, of Rome, died Thursday morning of a heart attack. Services will be held Friday morning, June 27, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The family will receive friends and family in the church Narthex from 9:00am – 10:00 am. Mass will be at 10:00am followed by the inurnment in the Rose Garden at the church.

He was born on January 25, 1943, at McCall Hospital in Rome. He is the 7th of ten boys. He served in the United States Navy for 22 years. Eighteen of those years were sea duty on ten different Navy ships. After retirement he returned to Rome and worked at Dobbins AFB for 22 years in Civil Service.

He will be greatly missed as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cindy Green Loveless; his four children, Kelli Loveless, Wake Forest, NC, Michelle Sommers, Rome, Shannon Loveless Linger, Fountain Inn, SC, and Sean Loveless, Gainesville, GA; his six grandchildren, Maddi Fronius, Dominic Fronius, and Ava Fronius of Wake Forest, NC, Liam and Amalia Sommers and Savannah Loveless of Rome.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Frances Gresham Loveless and Guy Waldon Loveless; his five brothers, William Harry Loveless, Guy Loveless, Gary Loveless, Dale Loveless and Paul Loveless.

In lieu of flowers, the family would love donations be made to St. Mary’s Catholic School in Mike’s memory.
