Born and raised in Rome, Georgia, Patricia graduated from Rome High School in 1951. She also attended the University of Georgia and Shorter College.
Patricia married James Andrew McAlister on June 8th,1958. They lived for several years in Atlanta and then Cartersville,Georgia before returning to Rome. She was an active member of Rome First United Methodist Church, Rome Music Lovers Club and DAR. She was also an accomplished vocalist.
Andrew and Pattie relocated to Athens Georgia in 2011 and attended Athens First United Methodist Church. Along with her loving husband Andrew, she is survived by daughter Anne Coggins, son-in-law Quinon Coggins and granddaughter Emily Coggins.
A visitation will be held at Daniel's Funeral Home in Rome, Georgia on Friday, September 2nd from. 12-2 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will also be held at Ashford Memorial Methodist Church in Watkinsville, Georgia on Wednesday, September 7th at 2 p.m.
