

Patricia Bates Redwine, a native of Powder Springs, Georgia, is survived by her husband, Frank Hutcheson Redwine III, a daughter, Sarah Hutcheson Redwine of Kennesaw, Georgia, a son, Dr. Madison Bates Redwine, and son-in-law, Daniel Lee Reese of Birmingham, Alabama. Patricia (Tish) was preceded in death by her parents Madison Biggs Bates and Floyd Schoolfield Bates of Powder SPrings, Georgia, and her twin brother, Patrick Madison Bates of Birmingham, Alabama.
Tish was a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor's in Art and English. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa ad served as president of the Lyceum Council. She was a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and Mortar Board.
She was employed by Southern Bell Telephone Company and was CEO of the East Point office in Atlanta. She was later employed by H&R Block and was manager of the West Rome office.
She was very active with the Rome Garden Club and was Federation president and Laurel District board member. She was the past president of Green Thumb Garden Club and active with the Camelia Garden Club.
Tish served as a board member of Rome Area Heritage Foundation and was chairman of the Rome Area Heritage Ramble in 1995.
She was a member of First United Methodist Methodist Church and in charge of their Senior Adult program. She served as a secretary and board member for Murphy Harpst Auxiliary.
Tish was a talented artist and enjoyed painting, pottery, and ceramics. She loved to travel, and took many trips with her husband and family. She never turned down an opportunity to dress up, and was always ready to win any costume contest.
A memorial service will be held on July 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church, conducted by Rev. James Moonehan, former pastor.
