Born in Philadelphia, Mississippi, she grew up in Jasper County, graduating from Bay Springs High School before attending college and Business School. Reva was a loyal, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who accepted everyone unconditionally. During her lifetime she was highly respected as a minister’s wife, an excellent secretary, and a children’s librarian. She retired from Northwest Georgia Regional Hospital on disability in 1984. Everyone who knew her held her in the highest esteem and always described her as a sweet, kind, loving, generous, and accepting Lady.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Rev. Don Anderson, a daughter, Pamela Sawyer, a son, Keith Anderson, a granddaughter, Yitazba L. Anderson, three brothers, two sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Thomas Rivers Pugh, and one brother, Jasper Pugh.
Visitation will be at the Daniel’s Funeral Home from 12 noon until 1:00pm Saturday, December 17 with a memorial service to follow in the chapel at 1:00pm. Dr. David Campbell and Rev. Wayne Hopper, pastors at Trinity United Methodist Church, will be officiating. Daniel’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
