

Mr. Bowling was born in Valdosta on March 12, 1959, the son of Annette Lindsey Bowling and the late Robert Arthur Bowling, Sr., who preceded him in death on October 24, 2009.
Mr. Bowling was an owner and office holder of Rome Electric Motor Works. He was a 1977 graduate of West Rome High School and attended Shorter University and Auburn University and graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He loved Lake Weiss and enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting.
Survivors include his mother, Annette Lindsey Bowling, Rome; two brothers, Bill Bowling, and his wife, Patti, and Charles Bowling, and his wife, Mary, all of Rome; and three nieces and two nephews, Shellie, Garrett, Sean, Claire and Kara Bowling, all of Rome.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Rome, with the Rev. Jack Karch officiating. Entombment will be at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Doug Sizemore, Andy Cantrell, Mike Male, Dale Cooper, Tommy Ortwein and Charles Wilson.
The family will receive friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home, Rome, on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, 3000 Garden Lakes Blvd., Rome, GA 30165
