Robert Barron (Barry) Watson, age 74, of Rome, died on September 28, 2025, following a long illness. Barry was born in Rome, Georgia on October 24, 1950, the son of G.B. And Nelle (Hood) Watson. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech and also earned his Masters at Berry College.
He is predeceased by his parents and a sister, Brenda. Survivors include his wife, Cathy; a son, Matthew (Alison); his grandsons, Cooper and Collin; and his brother, Bruce (Kerri); and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
