Ruth Virginia Langley

Mrs. Ruth V Langley, age 84, of Rome, GA, passed away at a local healthcare facility Sunday, March 24, 2013. She was born September 5, 1927 in Rome, Georgia, daughter of the late Sybil Campbell and Clarence McCain.

Mrs. Langley was preceded in death by her husband, Henley Rush Langley Sr. to whom she was married on November 6, 1949. She was the owner and operator of Desoto Beauty Shop from the 1950s until the 1990s.

She is survived by her three children, Susie Burns of Rome, Russ Langley Jr. of Birmingham AL, and Ginger Brown of Rome; six grandchildren, Bryan Burns, Amelia Moore, Virginia Langley, Katie Brown, Sadie Brown and Emily Brown, and special great-grandchild Noelle Burns.

A memorial service for Mrs. Langley was conducted Monday April 1, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniel’s funeral home. The family received friends from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
