Ruth Bond Bond Morris

Mrs. Morris was born in Dalton, GA. April 15, 1922, daughter of the late Luther Alexander Bond and Fannie Keith Bond. She grew up in Dalton, GA. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church, Rome, and a member of the Adult Fellowship Sunday School Class as well as being very active in the United Methodist Women’s organization. She loved gardening, cooking, solving crossword puzzles and loved to play bridge. More than anything she loved spending her time surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers John Bond and Keith Bond. Survivors include her husband William N. Morris of Rome to whom she was married for 58 plus years, one son; Bill Morris and his wife Lisa of Atlanta, one daughter; Keith Howell and her husband Danny of Rome, and one grandson Jack Morris also of Atlanta.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church of Rome with Rev. Jane Brooks officiating. The family received friends Tuesday in the Wilder Center of the First United Methodist Church from 12:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requested memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church, 202 East 3rd Avenue, Rome, GA 30161.
