Shirley A Rabun

Shirley was born in College Park, Georgia on December 8, 1943, the daughter of Cannon James Jernigan and Val Stanton Davis Jernigan. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Valerie Thwaites, Donna Rickett and Linda Balentine.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Robert Rabun; her daughter, Debra Gordon (Don); her step-daughters, Crystal Cloninger and Lindsey Kay Hall (Shane); her grandchildren, Anna Brown, Jamie Rickett, Michael Rickett, Brandy Tvrdeich (Nicholas), Brooke Ferrand (Bob), Tad Twaites, Josh McAlister (Jessica), Mark Vaugh (Crystalann), Alan Wiedenbeck (Jessica), Drew Thwaites (Jessy), Joey Thwaites (Summer), Daniel Gordon (Kim), Jacob Gordon, Caleb Cloninger, Katti Cloninger, Tagen Cloninger, Blaine Cloninger and Chloe Hall; her great grandchildren, Amber, John, Christopher, Kaylan, Tad Jr., Tristen, Rylee, Jason, Christian, Alex, Mia, Taylor, Madison, Anniston, Nicolette, Charlize, Mark, Faith, Austin, and Hurly; and her great greatgrandchild, Mia.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Daniel’s Funeral Home.
