Sue Duck Early

Mrs. Early was born in Rome, GA, on December 2, 1928, the daughter of the late C. L. and Minnie L. Hayes Duck. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church. Mrs. Early was married to the late B. G. (Bob) Early, on July 3, 1948, and was preceded in death by him on December 30, 2001. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.

Mrs. Early is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jean Early and Richard Cook, Kennesaw, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, January 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the gazebo in the Garden of the Apostles in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens, Rome, with the Rev. Horace Stewart officiating. Entombment followed in the St. John Mausoleum.

The family received friends at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Thursday, January 30, 2014, from 6 until 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First Christian Church, 209 E. Second Ave., Rome, GA 30161 or the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2881 Canton Rd., Marietta, GA 30066 or to the charity of your choice.
