

Mr. Bussey was born in Cedartown, GA, on June 24, 1927. He was the son of the late W.M. Bussey and Catherine Hammond Bussey. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Eugene Bussey, Andrew Bussey and a sister, Mozelle Fox.
Mr. Bussey grew up in Rome, GA. One of his greatest enjoyments in life was his love of photography. He was retired from Georgia Power as an accountant. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany in 1946, as a radio operator. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church (EPC). The family would like to give a very special thanks to Hilda Green, the ladies of Covenant Presbyterian Church and the Visitors Center of Rome.
Survivors include a great niece, Melissa D. Gladney, nieces, Frances Lovell and Joann Davis; great nephews, Michael Goodwin and Andrew Gentry; great-great nephews, Cody Gladney and Blake Gladney; and great-great nieces, Brianna Gladney and Hope Goodwin.
Services for Mr. Bussey will be held Friday, August 29, 2014, at 11:00 AM in the Griffin Memorial Chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home with Rev. Jack P. Foley officiating. Interment will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday morning at Daniel's from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.
Those serving as pallbearers are Michael Goodwin, Codie Gladney, Blake Gladney, Brent Poplin and Bob Turner.
Daniel's Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
