I can't believe it has been a year since Gord passed away.  He was such a lovely, loyal and responsible man, he was always willing to be of help.  Best regards to his family.

Debra and I  have known Gord since the first day we came to faith in Jesus,almost 50 years ago. We have been much encouraged by his love for God and the word of God and the church of Christ.
 We give thanks to God for Gordon  and his testimony of faith  in Jesus that guided his life, along with Amy his dear wife. 
He lived a consistent, ordered and generous life ,that sought to do all things well for the glory of God.
In recent years when Amy was struggling with health issues and then her going home. We often talked together. One of his favorite sentences was "I don't know how I could do all this with out the Lord"  Jesus did bring him through and safely home with the Lord he loved.
Thankfully he has not "gone" but rather gone home.

 Then I heard a voice from heaven  saying to me. "Write Blessed are the dead who die "in the Lord" from now on , Yes, says the Spirit " that they may rest from thier labors ,and thier works follow them."

Dear Sandra, Lynda & June..& families
We watched the photo Tribute today...so beautifully done! Truly a lovely tribute to  both your Dad & Mom. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of you at this time... May you find comfort and strength in knowing that your Dad and Mom are together once again!!
We kept in touch over these many years via telephone calls, and yearly Christmas cards & letters. As a matter of fact, we  got our  LAST Christmas card from your Dad just   a couple of days before Sandra  called us with the news that he had made that long awaited flight...to Heaven!
Ritchie, (a first cousin of your Dad)  has many memories of his younger years...biking over from their summer home in St Rose to Rosemere  to visit.  In his young teenage years, he helped your Dad with building the cabin up north..no doubt some fishing happened there too!! And one really cute memory- of the one and only time your Dad experimented with making chokecherry wine in a gallon jug...and it exploded in the hall closet!
Our hearts are with you as you bid your tearful goodbyes... May the memories you have of your loving parents comfort you... and knowing that there is a "one day" ahead of a great "family reunion" in Heaven!!!

The Haward  family has always been important to our family. Gordon's mother, Lottie was the first friend our mother made when our parents moved to Rosemere from Toronto in the early 1940's.  The friendship was maintained and continued with Gordon and his sisters, Eunice and Joan. The Welsh girls have a fond memory of riding in the rumble seat  of Gordon's father's car. Gordon, Amy, Eunice and Joan  were an amazing support and comfort to us when our mother died and years later when our father died. 
Every year when Peggy, came east we would travel to Rosemere to visit Gordon and Amy. Gordon enjoyed feeding the birds and proudly showed us the apparatus he made to keep the squirrels from the bird feeders. We will miss Gordon and send our most sincere sympathies. The Welsh girls look forward to keeping in touch with Sandra, Linda and June.
