The Haward family has been very special friends to the Welsh family since the early 1940's. A visit to see Amy and Gordon were a tradition whenever Peggy would come from Vancouver Island to visit Helen and Elaine. Amy's parents had elderberry bushes which our mother loved. Whenever I (Helen) am lucky enough to find elderberries I think of Amy and how I was first introduced to this delicious pie. Our sincere sympathies to Gordon, Linda, Sandra and June.

Our comfort from Jesus is the rock on which on which we stand in the grief of death." John 5: 24 Most assuredly , I say to you , he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent me has everlasting life and shall not come into judgement , but has passed from death into life ."
May the words of Jesus give assurance and peace in this time of temporary grief. Amy will not be reading these words we write in condolence, but she has been brought to the presence of her Savior ,to see that her name is written in heaven ,as one who loved God . Her name one of those "Whose names are in the book of life." Phillippians 4:3

My sympathy to all the Haward family. It is so much more difficult in this time of Pandemic.
I found this scanned photo of Grandma Amy Oswald, her grandchildren (including Amy Ingles Haward) and great-granchildren at the time - photo is dated 1958.
