

She was born October 26, 1924 to Charles and Agnes Low on the family farm at Daisy Hill District where she also received her education. She began working at the Rosetown Post Office at the age of 17, and in 1947 she married James McCulloch. They raised their two children in Rosetown and Edith worked at King's Ltd. for five years. In 1961 she returned to the Post Office where she worked until her retirement. Edith enjoyed golfing, curling and bowling. She was active in the Horticultural Society and always kept a beautiful garden and yard. She was also a member of the Hospital Auxiliary, Presbyterian Church, choir and the "Odds and Ends" musical group, the Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary. Edith loved her Cocker Spaniel dogs, she also had a great fondness for elephants and had amassed a substantial collection of figurines and statues and anything else elephant related! Edith and Jim enjoyed trips to Scotland and Holland, and spent many years at their cabin at Coteau Beach. She loved to spend time with friends, family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They always brought a smile and much laughter to her.
Left to cherish Edith's memory are her loving husband of 67 years, James McCulloch, her son Gwynne (Bev), and daughter Lynne (Rick) Cross. Grandchildren Jaydynne (Tonya) McCulloch, Jesse (Cailey) McCulloch, James McCulloch, Ryan (Karen) Cross, Trevor (Angie) Cross; Great grandchildren, Jack and Tessa McCulloch, Zac, Kylie, Keira and Ava Cross, Colt, Jhett and Korbin Cross. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Marilynn, her parents, brothers, Frank, Alexander, Charlie, Jim, Richard and her sister Agnes.
Funeral Services were held at the Rosetown United Church on September 25th, with Rev. Jo-Ann Hills officiating. Memorial Donations may be made to the Rose Villa Activity Fund.
