

Rose Mary Halter passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer at the Heritage Manor in Kindersley on April 1, 2014 at the age of 79. Born in Dinsmore, Rose spent her early years growing up in McGee. In 1949 she married George Norman and they resided in the Herschel and Plenty area. In 1987 she married Joe Halter and resided in Dodsland until she entered long term care in Kerrobert in May of 2009. In November, 2009 she moved to Heritage Manor in Kindersley where she resided until her passing. Rose was a very gifted musician and enjoyed playing either piano or accordion by herself or accompanying others. She continued to participate in jam sessions while residing at Heritage Manor. Rose is survived by her four sons: Dave (Debbie) Norman of Rosetown and their children Sarah (Shawn) Carter, Luc and Grant, Ryan (Carla) Summer, Grace, Tyler, Julia, Dwight (Brenda) Norman of Hinton, Alberta and their children Christal and Kyle, Doug Norman of Medicine Hat, Alberta and his children Anessa and Colby, Delbert (Stacey) Norman of Calgary, Alberta and their children Megan, Connor and Madeline. Rose was predeceased by her parents Michael and Vera Krywenky, her sister Grace Listwin and husband Joe Halter. A very special thank you to the staff at Heritage Manor in Kindersley for the loving and never ending care and compassion showed to Rose in her years there. They truly made it feel like a home. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. For those so wishing, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heritage Manor in Kindersley would be gratefully received.
