From an early age, Alex had many interests, but he found his passion in music and skiing. He became really good at playing the piano and freeride skiing. He was energetic, enthusiastic, always ready with a joke and a smile. He loved surprising mom with his knowledge and new skills, and he loved playing jokes and pranks on dad and friends.
He also had a great heart; when he was 4 years old, the night before we went to Disneyland he asked us why a man was sleeping on the ground by the bushes at the gas station. We explained to him how some people didn’t have a home or food to eat. He didn’t say anything more about it. The next day at the Cinderella castle we stopped by the wishing well and he wished for the homeless man to get a home. He would ask us to buy gorilla munch and other cereals to save endangered mountain gorillas and pandas. That was Alex, in a nutshell. He had a big heart, a great sense of humor, inexhaustible energy, an incessant need to learn, and lately he couldn’t get enough skiing or enough time with his friends.
His big dream was to go pro with the freeride world tour and to produce music for hip hop artists.
In these days of sorrow, we think of him in the heavens. It gives us a sense of comfort to know he is there, happy and free, skiing all day and making music.
We will remember him every time we see the snow, whenever it rains, when we see his friends faces and the places he loved. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Tatiana Landrum, and his extended family. He will live in our hearts and remain in our thoughts forever.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.LambertFuneral.com for the Landrum family.
