Cary Richard Nelson

Cary R. Nelson passed away unexpectedly from natural causes while on a work trip in Oregon. He was born on July 6, 1959 in Detroit, Michigan, and entered heaven on February 23, 2016. As a child his family lived in Michigan, Oregon, and spent many happy years in New Jersey. When Cary was in college they moved to California where he met his wife in a class at CSU Chico. He worked at UCSF and then spent 7 years working at NUMMI in Fremont. He moved to Roseville and worked at H.P. for 18 years before going to work at Intel in Folsom. Cary loved music, reading, history, and sports.

Cary is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Corrine. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen, and his adoring children, Brad (Amy), Leanna, Aimee, his sister Lori, his in-laws Garth, Pat, Garth, Vicky, Mark, and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday, March 2 at Lambert Funeral Home in Roseville at 12:30. The burial will follow at the Roseville Cemetery on Berry St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Auburn Interfaith Food Closet.
