Cheryl Rae Bakos Valdez

Our beloved Cheryl passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Joseph Valdez of Citrus Heights, CA; step-daughter Loretta Jones and step-son-in-law Ralph Jones of Elk Grove, CA; step-mother Sharon Bakos of Rocklin, CA; sister Lori Bakos of Beaverton, OR; brother David Bakos and sister-in-law Suzy Bakos of Pollock Pines, CA; step-sister Tara Porter and step brother-in-law Andy Porter of Rocklin, CA; step-brother Eugene Edwards and step sister-in-law Christine Edwards of Eugene, OR; cousin Steve Hall and cousin-in-law Loretta Hall of Zephyr Cove, NV; along with two nieces, five nephews, six great nephews, and five great nieces. Cheryl was predeceased by her mother, Gail Bakos, and father Doyle Bakos of Rocklin, CA. She worked as a medical transcriber for over 30 years. She enjoyed a great passion for books, arts and crafts, often knitting beautiful creations. Cheryl had a heart that knew no bounds; she would give you the shirt off her back with no expectations in return. She will be truly missed.
