David took pride in his thirty year career at the Southern/Union Pacific Railroad. He held many positions, his most favorite being his 15 years as a locomotive engineer. David also took pride in his time served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps.
David's hard work ethic was seen till the end, his cancer never slowed his drive to live life; he was a generous soul who took care of his family.
He is survived by his father David Martin Stirdivant, wife Rosemary Stirdivant, daughter and son in law Christine and Fabian Garcia, daughter and son in law Sandra and Andrew Grusman, daughter Sophia Stirdivant, 6 grandchildren: Cierra, Austin, Autumn, Sera, Marissa, and Kyle; sisters Lorrie Young, Lysa Golden; brothers Timothy Stirdivant, Don Stirdivant, Ron Stirdivant, Kevin Stirdivant and Sam (Barry) Stewart and numerous nephews, nieces and extended family members.
Preceeded in death by his mother Belen Stewart.
