Donald Glenn Lawson

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. Donald “Gus” Lawson, passed away on November 13, 2025 at the age of 87 in Roseville, California.

He lived life fueled by devotion, loyalty and genuine passion for things that brought him joy. He was never happier than when spending time with his family, fishing, farming, traveling, working on cars and playing pool with his friends.

A lifelong fan of Nascar and drag racing, he found freedom in the roar of engines and the thrill of speed. Equally important to him were the friendships he built over the years. Whether it was neighbors or longtime buddies who found their way into his life, his ability to make people feel welcome was one of his greatest gifts.

He is survived by his children, Michael (Tamie) Lawson, Dana (Vince) Rydell, Lisa (Tim) Loden, Brynda (Allen) Getreu, Garrett (Adrienne) Brewton, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and brothers Truman, Gary, Jon and preceded by his wife Georgia and his brother Gail. We will all forever carry his love, smile and laughter in our hearts. We take comfort in knowing his spirit lives in every person he touched.

A private event will be held to scatter his ashes at a later date.

He will be missed more than words can express, but his legacy of love will continue for generations.
