

courageous battle with Brain cancer. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandpa and Friend, Don was born on February 17, 1932 in Denver, Colorado. He is now in the peaceful presence of our Lord. He was predeceased by his Mother and Father, George and Mabel Sall and his Brother, Jim Gilman.
He is survived by his childhood Friend and loving Wife of 59 years, Nona Grace (DeFuentes) Sall and their children, Toni Sall(Rod Goodman), and Grandsons, Darren and Ryan Goodman, Donald "Skip" Jr. (Kathleen) and Granddaughter, Emily, and Ross (Kris) and Grandsons, Ross, Jr and Matthew.
Don graduated from Roseville High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a radio operator stationed on Okinawa. He graduated from Sacramento City College and worked for the City of Sacramento as an electrical draftsman for 34 years. His weekly lunches with his good pals Paul, Jim, Verne and Carl have been a special highlight in his life for the past 20 years.
Don loved flying and flew for many years, taking trips with his family to Mexico with other flying buddies and their families. He also enjoyed flying to Napa for dinner or to the Nut Tree for lunch.
He read every book written about flying in World War II. A Highlight during his illness was a personal visit by Retired Col. Bud Anderson, who was a Triple Ace during World War II. Col. Anderson presented Don with his book "To Fly and Fight" with a personal note and autograph.
Don played Softball and Bowled for the City of Sacramento leagues. He also loved Fishing, and making annual Fishing trips to Canada with his family.
He traveled the world with his Wife, Nona, and their friends, Bob and jean Davis.
Don was a member of the Riverside Wesleyan Church for 40 years and served on the LBA Board of Directors.
Don had many Interests and Hobbies, but-above all-he was encouraging to his Wife, Children, and Grandchildren to pursue education and a career that would bring them success and joy.
His presence will be especially missed by his family at their many annual gatherings.

A Celebration of Don's Life will be held on Monday February 28th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Rocklin, 5425 Coronado Way, Rocklin,CA 95677. Burial will Military Honors to follow services at the Rocklin District Cemetery, 4090 Kannasto St, Rocklin,CA 95677
