Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years William B. (Bob) Chitwood, and sons Loren H. Chitwood and Steven W. Chitwood. She is survived by daughter Cynthia (Alan) Comstock, grandsons Loren (Samantha) Chitwood II, Ben Chitwood, Joe (Lauren) Wingert, granddaughter Dawn Chitwood, great-grandsons Kristopher Chitwood, William Chitwood-Bergren, and great-granddaughters Raegan Chitwood, Ava Wingert and Riley Wingert.
Frances was a long-term employee of Sears in Sacramento. During her husband's lifetime, they were longtime residents of Rocklin, California, and were active in American Legion. Together they enjoyed dancing, water skiing, and traveling in Europe and the South Pacific. Beginning early in her life, Frances enjoyed sewing and quilting. Frances was a devout Christian and was active in Bible studies in her community.
