George Alvin Christie

Born with a deep commitment to serving others, George devoted 38 years to public service as a California state executive. Throughout his distinguished career, he helped facilitate positive legislative change, leaving a lasting mark of progress and integrity in the community he loved. Beyond his professional achievements, George’s life was anchored in his Christian faith and an enduring love for his family. He gave generously of his time to his church and community, always with a caring, selfless heart. An avid lover of nature and travel, George also found immense joy in woodworking, creating tangible pieces of craftsmanship with the same care and patience he brought to his relationships. George’s love of basketball and track was exemplified in his support of local scholastic programs and athletes. Above all, his greatest passion was bringing his family together, creating a home filled with love, patience, kindness, and a deep devotion to God.

George was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Antone and Pauline. He is survived by his loving wife, Nina Christie; his sister, Maggie Tadlock; his niece, Nichol Beahm; his sons, Chad Christie and David Christie; his stepdaughter, Amanda Keidel; his stepson, Scott McTigue; and his cherished grandchildren, Isa Keidel, Caden McTigue, Parker McTigue, Jordan Christie, and Maya Christie—who brought immense pride and joy to his life.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on September 14, 2026, at Lambert Funeral Home in Roseville, California. Following the service, George will be laid to rest at Roseville Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life immediately following the burial at the Beahm residence.
