

“You had me at hello, goodbye and everything in between”- Shannon L. Alder
Guy Coley passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, at his home in Roseville, California. Guy was born in Pensacola, Florida and joined the US Army as a medic when he was a teen. He was a veteran, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant with 20 years of active and reserve duty.
He met his wife Valerie in Brunssum, Holland while they were both on active duty with the US Army. They married in 1974 and were together for over 50 years of marriage, two children, four grandchildren and countless adventures.
Guy was a Licensed Vocational and Registered Nurse for 37 years until he retired in 2013. Guy travelled extensively throughout his lifetime with Valerie, both before, and after retiring, and they visited many countries in Europe, in addition to travel in Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, China, and both the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
Guy was smart and funny, and loved his family and friends. He loved music and he sang karaoke. He was an avid SF 49ers fan, and loved sci-fi with favorites Supernatural, Star Trek, Star Wars and most movies in that genre. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty and his father Guy Coley, his beloved Aunt Tena and Uncle Cecil, and other family in Pensacola. He is survived, and his memory is cherished by Valerie and their children Christine Harrod and Ashley Coley, and two sisters Christine Demos and Ronnie Marie Ingram of Florida. He leaves four beloved grandchildren, Alexandra and Morgan Linville, Nathaniel Harrod and Erika Stevens.
He will be remembered and missed every day by Valerie and his loving family and friends.
