Hallie Roberta Young

Hallie was born to Hal Eggert and Mary “Holly” Berry. She attended Roseville High School and graduated with the Class of 1950. She is the beloved mother of four children and grandmother of four granddaughters. She is survived by sons Robert (Bob) Young, of Roseville, Bruce Young and his wife Becky, of Clovis, and daughters Nancy Neal and her husband Arlie, of Citrus Heights and Cindy Jones and her husband Richard, of Malin, OR. Granddaughters Corinne, Jenessa, Adriene and Heather. Her sister Joyce Milligan, of San Jose, nephew Kyle Milligan and his wife Susan, of Oakland and niece Laura Milligan and her husband Mike King, of Marin.

She loved her “Tigers” and remained very active in the Alumni Association throughout her life. Her final hours were spent with her dearest friends of the Alumni.

She worked for the State Franchise Tax Board as well as Aerojet. For the last several years she was the primary caretaker for her eldest son, Bob.

She loved gardening, writing poetry, taking pictures and playing card games and spending time with friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A viewing will be held at Lambert Funeral Home on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, 400 Douglas Blvd. in Roseville.

A celebration of her life will be held at Sierra View Country Club, Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 1:00 pm, 105 Alta Vista Ave., in Roseville.
