Suggested Edit: Born November 10, 1925, in Irvine, KY to Walter E. Brock and Madge Mascall. Rick passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior on June 14, 2018. He was surrounded by his loving family where he resided with his daughter, Catherine Ann, in Vacaville, CA. Rick and his wife of 53 years, Madeline (dec. 2006), were loving parents to Kevin, Pam, Meg, Cathie, Cheri and Chris. He will be missed by his loving brother, Homer Brock. Adored "Papa" to 21 grand-children and five great-grand-children and uncle to 21. Rick will also be greatly missed by friends he and Madeline made all over the United States. Rick was a member of the "Greatest Generation." He was a WWII Navy Pilot at 17, an academic under the GI Bill all the way into a doctoral program, and later proudly served as an FBI Agent. He grew up during the depression on a sheep ranch on eastern Oregon. He was a faithful husband and father who loved God, loved his family, and loved his country. He was an unsung American hero and our hero. We bid farewell for now to our dear father and we are comforted by the firm hope that he has joined our mother in their heavenly reward at the end of a well-run race. Best friends until their parting, Rick and Madeline were a beautiful model of what love and sacrifice can build in a sacramental union. Papa and Grandmommie, your love ignited a legacy of JOY! May we be the inspiration to our children and grandchildren that you have always been to us! We will see you again! Family and friends are invited to attend a rosary to be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 5pm at Lamberts Funeral Home, 400 Douglas Blvd., Roseville CA. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 280 Oak Tree Lane, Lincoln CA.
