

Born December 5th, 1924 in Modesto CA, died July 20, 2011 in an accident on his farm in Pleasant Grove, CA. Beloved husband for 65 years to Barbara Hanford. Jesse was a World War II veteran of the 8th Army Air Corps where he survived dozens of B-17 missions as a belly gunner over Germany. Jesse worked as a chemist lab technician at Aerojet and as a dairyman. He loved his family and was proud of his Hanford family heritage. Despite numerous health issues over the past several years he continued to tend to his farm and walk his dogs every day, he was a soldier in the truest sense of the word. He is survived by his loving wife Barbara Marie Hanford, his three Children Carolyn Mae Ellis, Jacqueline Merle Farinha, and Victoria Lee Flores, his ten grandchildren Brian McDougal, Melissa Tasselli, Michael, Kevin, Mathew, and Katie Farinha, Andrew, Chris, Jimmy, and Leah Flores, four great-grandchildren, and his brother Warren and sister Zelda. He will be truly missed by family and friends.
There will be a viewing at Lambert funeral home, 400 Douglas Blvd., in Roseville 7/26/11 from 4-7pm and funeral services at Pleasant Grove cemetery 7/27/11 at 10:30am followed by a reception at the Pleasant Grove fire department.
