Joyce Elaine Wood

Joyce Elaine Wood was born on May 23rd, 1930 in McCracken, Missouri to Walter and Kathleen Harp. She was the second of six children. The family moved to San Bernardino, California in 1945 where she graduated from high school in 1947. On June 27th of that same year she married her true love, Harold Benny Wood. The couple lived and worked in Southern California and had three children, Carolyn, Sharon, and Danny. They moved to Loomis, California in 1964 and lived in the same house for 45 years. Joyce has been a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Rocklin for more than 25 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Kathleen, siblings Jan, Ronnie and Patsy, son Danny, and grandson Casey. She is survived by her loving husband Benny, daughters Carolyn and Sharon (Roger), granddaughter Amy (Kelly), 4 great-grandchildren, brother Bud (Margie), and sister Betty.

Services will be held at the First Baptist Church, 5425 Coronado Way, Rocklin, California, on Friday, September 9th at 11:30 A.M. A graveside service will follow at Newcastle Cemetery, Newcastle, California starting at 1:30 P.M.
