Keith was born in Roseville, CA in 1960 to Donald and Marcia Edgar. Their fourth child of seven children, he was the first to be born in Roseville. He graduated St. Albans Country Day School and Oakmont High School and attended Sierra College and Lewis & Clarke College. This kind and gentle man passed suddenly at home.
Keith is preceded by his father Donald E. Edgar, M.D. and his nephew Trevor D. Lista. He is survived by his loving mother, Marcia A. Edgar, three older siblings, Dianne Edgar (Terry Platt) of Rochester NY, Carroll Short (Ed Short) of Myrtle Point OR, David Edgar (Claudia Folzman) of San Jose CA and three younger siblings, Steven Edgar of Antioch CA, Susan Helm (Don Helm) of Oxnard CA, Nancy Richie (Michael Richie) of Marco Island FL and sister Colette Richelle (Alex LeFrebrve) of Brussels Belgium. Keith, the favorite uncle, is also survived by five nieces, Tammela (Fabian), Natalie (Patrick), Madeleine, Camille (Chris), Sophia; and
seven nephews, Dana, Brian (Johana), Alex (Erika), Mathew, David (Alia), Theodore and Francois and four great-nieces Sakari, Anela, Emma, and Penelope; and especially, his “person” and dear beloved friend, Mary Ralli of Citrus Heights CA, godparents (Aunt) Catherine Mast Panis of Mishawaka IN and Joseph Olenchalk of Antioch CA and his many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Living, loving his community and life in Roseville and Citrus Heights CA, he retired from Penumbra in 2022, freeing up time for his many hobbies and enjoying the peace of his house and yard. He loved to travel, visiting family in multiple states and Europe, always supporting milestone events; he was always present celebrating us and with us. Keith was a musician at heart and lover of music and its culture, playing the drums and guitar. He had many years and adventures with his loyal, beloved dog, Cloud. He was a proud docent of the Sacramento Zoo, an artist and enjoyed fishing, camping, wildlife, photography, ceramics, woodworking and long e-biking treks solo and with his group of friends, riding most of the
paths in Roseville.
His booming laugh, broad, sincere smile, ever unique and quick wit and generous nature will be greatly missed by his family and close friends alike.
Keith’s celebration of life and internment in the Roseville Cemetery is Saturday, March 07, 2026.
